FTP 505 - The Art of the Pitch

An immersive course on the process of developing the fundamental skills to create and deliver a successful pitch for film, TV, digital, and branded content. Students will learn how to translate their story ideas into engaging and “sellable” presentations, through preparing pitches of varying lengths, creating pitch decks, writing pitch treatments, and researching industry buyers. Students will also be required to write an extended pitch treatment as a “next step” to activate a financial arrangement. Letter grade. (Offered every year.) 3 credits
