PD 576 - Visual Design and Character Development for Film and Television

Prerequisites, consent of instructor, production design major. Through lecture and screenings, an analysis of: film history, historical styles, fine art and photography, students will create visual reference projects as a foundation for conceptual development of film and television design. Students will learn the critical value of in-depth historical, conceptual, visual research as applied to motion picture design and character development. Letter grade. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits
