PHRM 770 - Advanced Topics in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice

Prerequisites, PHRM 501, PHRM 511, PHRM 531, PHRM 622, PHRM 622L, PHRM 631, PHRM 641. This course is designed to provide students with advanced levels of understanding the psychiatric disorders and conditions, as well as the therapeutic management of patients with different psychiatric disorders. The topics of discussion will include the major psychiatric disorders, mind and body medicine, substance abuse, unlabeled use of drugs in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, newest FDA-approved medications for psychiatric disorders, principles of psychotherapy, and drug-induced psychiatric disorders.
