CES 295 - Community Fieldwork

Open to all students: This course is designed to provide students with service experiences at non-profit organizations, businesses, and a selection of after-school educational support centers. The course will integrate hands-on activities developed to help enrich the learning of children, adolescents, and adults with seminar discussions of community topics arising from these activities. Every effort will be made to ensure students are assigned to settings whose students reflect the ethnic and racial composition of communities in Orange County. Some sections may be restricted to CES majors and CES minors. Letter grade. This course may be repeated for credit. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
