POSC 101 - Introduction to Political Science


Political Science is the study and analysis of political phenomena, which includes the theory and practice of governance at all levels, and the institutional authority and powers the State and citizens may deploy to make decisions on behalf of the public to secure a common good.  This course introduces students to the wide-ranging subject matter and key concepts of the discipline, and to some of its analytical and critical methods.  This course is required of all students majoring in Political Science. Letter grade. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
