PHYS 323 - Scientific Computing II

Prerequisites, PHYS 220, or MATH 220. Students refine the use of computation as a tool for scientific exploration and discover scientific applications of machine learning. Students learn modern programming languages and software engineering principles, including module and test-driven development, change-control, and parallel computing, with a focus on larger-scale problems and simulations. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
