AVE 356B - Intermediate Character Animation for CG


Prerequisites, AVE 249  with a B- or better and AVE 256A  or AVE 256B  and animation and visual effects major or animation and visual effects themed inquiry. Building on basic skills and knowledge of 3D production pipeline, this course begins a detailed overview of the production process used in creating digital character animation. Using the Autodesk Maya software package, students will create an animated project from initial design to final character animation. Areas covered by this class include character modeling, advanced character rigging and animation techniques, facial animation, and soundtrack synchronization. Letter grade. Fee: $75. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits
