REL 303 - Readings in Qur’an and Hadith

A study of the selected basic texts of Islam: the Qur’an and Hadith. The course will also include an introduction to the history and compilation of the Qur’an and Hadith, various methods of interpretations, classical and modern critical analysis as well as the issues related to the authenticity of these texts.
