REL 150 - The Bible and Popular Culture: Engaging the Sacred Text

Employing interdisciplinary methods such as cultural, narrative, and socio-historical criticism and feminist theory, this course examines how biblical themes and motifs are expressed through the lens of popular culture including film, artwork, novels, music, TV, the internet, and advertisements, to understand the Bible’s impact on contemporary society.
