MUS 201G - Popular Music: Music of the 1980s

Open to non-music majors. This course will explore social, political, and historical context to some of the most popular and most influential music of the 1980s as well as politics, gender, and sexuality in the United States and England during this era, with a particular emphasis on the HIV/AIDS crisis. Letter grade with Pass/No Pass option. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
