COM 102 - Public Speaking in a Diverse Society


Students will learn to develop and deliver public presentations using supporting information to diverse audiences, with special attention on informative and persuasive messages. This course will emphasize the importance of understanding various cultural aspects of the speaker and audience, as well as sensitivity and adaptation to the unique cultural elements of the listener and context.  Some sections of this course may be offered for School of Communication majors only. Letter grade. (Offered every semester.) 3 credits
