SCC 315 - Influencer and Social Media Marketing


COM or SCC major, COM 100 or SCC 100 with a B- or better, COM 295 with a C or better. Social media creators and influencers have now become a standard practice in modern marketing and how brands help connect to their consumers. This course will look to define and understand today’s influencer and the partnership they have with the brands they work with. Students will learn how platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Instagram are driving changes in influencer marketing, and how brands are leveraging creators and influencers to build authentic storytelling and connected communities. Letter grade. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
