PSY 344 - Psychology of Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation


A systematic study of the empirical and practical issues in the psychology of gender identity and sexual orientation. The course examines the current state of psychological knowledge and the experiences of LGBTQ individuals in American society, considering topics such as origins of sexual and gender identities, media representation, prejudice and discrimination, relationships, mental and physical health, workplace issues, and ally development.
