An examination of the impact of women in the American political and electoral process as voters, candidates, and office holders. Topics include the history of the women’s movement in the United States, the women’s suffrage movement, feminism, the impact of gender on the electoral process, women in power at the national, state, and local level, women and leadership, and public policy issues relevant to women.
