ITAL 498 - Junior/Senior Seminar

Prerequisite, ITAL 201 . Students will select a research topic on a subject related to Italian cultural production in function with other disciplines related to the art, history, society or economy of any Italian speaking country or region in the world. The goals of this course is to allow students to develop a product that will demonstrate their linguistic skills and cultural knowledge, while applying Italian Studies to a specific academic and career path. While the nature of the final product will depend largely on the student’s unique disciplinary intersections-and range from the scholarly paper to the creative work, or from the community service to the cultural entrepreneurship project-all students will undergo rigorous research, and report and discuss their findings entirely in Italian. (Offered fall semester.) 3 credits
