MUS 360 - Electroacoustic Music II

Prerequisites, MUS 260, MUS 344, or consent of instructor. This course forms the second semester of the Electroacoustic Composition course sequence and builds on topics introduced in the first course. Focus is on the advanced application computer software and the live application of electronic music, issues of synchronization, triggering and automatic score followers. The course also surveys the repertoire of historically important works combining instrumental performance and new media. (Offered spring semester, alternate years.) 2 credits
