BUS 670 - Foundations in Real Estate


Prerequisites, BUS 601 , BUS 602 , or EMBA 601 , EMBA 602 . This course explores fundamental concepts related to real estate markets, institutions, and functions. The course examines the physical, legal, regulatory, economic, and tax considerations that influence real estate decisions. Topics include real estate brokerage and listing, contracts for sale and closing, appraisal, types of residential and commercial mortgages, and risks associated with real estate investing. Discussion of the current state of real estate markets will be an important component of the course. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
