MATH 352 - Discrete Mathematics II


Prerequisite, MATH 250 . This course provides the mathematical background and computational tools needed for many applications such as artificial intelligence, automatic theorem proving, bioinformatics, and data mining. This is an important course in the MATH and CPSC curriculum with topics including logic, relations, ordered sets, graphs, trees, sorting, Boolean algebras, digital circuits, automata and Turing machines. (Offered spring semester, alternate years.) 3 credits
