MUS 201C - American Popular Music: Protest Music

Open to non-music majors. This course examines the historical context and development of American popular musics from their nineteenth century origins to their worldwide dominance in our contemporary global society. Specifically, this course will focus on the rich and varied traditions of protest music in American popular culture. (Offered as needed.) 3 credits
