The Board of Trustees is composed of 40 regular members, one third of whom are elected annually for a three-year term. In addition, the president of the University and the chair of the Board of Governors, current and immediate past president of the Alumni Association, presidents of Town & Gown, Women of Chapman and faculty senate and the regional ministers of the three regions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to which the University is related serve as ex-officio trustees.
